Weather’s got very changeable, like being back home.  17th sunny and warm, 18th thunder, lightning, rain wind, the lot.  All in all this seems to be a good time to come though,  if you want to look at the sights, and the sites, it’s not too hot, you have these fantastic places to yourself, and there’s probably a bit more colour than later in the year ..

Went to another archaeological site yesterday, most of it had been smashed up by the Carthageans, which appears to be a process fraught with danger.  They made this ..

Out of one of these ..

We had a long discussion as to how you would do that and not end up underneath it all.  Did the Carthageans have health and safety officers and risk assessors, or Polish blokes to come and do it for them for a few bob?
The next day we’d planned to go to the mountaintop medieval town of Erica.  The cloud base was low, but once we have a plan we don’t know how to deviate from it (not having a project manager we can submit a change control to, it’s just not possible).  The mountain looked like this ..

We found all the tourists huddled in the same café, Brits, Japs, Italians, and we soon found out why.  I completely lost my baring’s when we ventured out, we think this was the castle, and at least one of the churches we could identify, the rest was a blur.
