We said goodbye to Dordogneshire yesterday in the mist, having put all our possessions in the car (hope it doesn't get nicked).
The mist soon started to lift, and by the time we were on the Motorway it was sunny and 13 deg. Drove past Toulouse and what looked like Ariane II propped up by the side of the motorway (not in a scrap yard).
Got to Carcasoone and found the hotel, after "un catastrophe au Tom Tom" which took us within yards of the hotel, but didn't acknowledge the house number for it existed, followed by directions from an unhelpful tabac owner, resulting in an unnessecarily round about trip to a free wifi site (McDonalds) where I was involved in a tense race against the battery life of my PC, which I lost. Eventually found that the hotel was called something else, but in the window had a small "Hotel Adonis" sign on an A4 sheet of paper.
Parked up
And took out the precious items from the car (beer and wine basically).
Some place!
Had a look round the new town, which was busy, full of students, everything open, and warm enough to sit outside (just).
